Mental Health and Wellness Counseling at Homewood
HCPSS and Homewood Center promotes the mental health and wellness of each of our students to develop their unique strengths, abilities, and characteristics towards success and well-being. A broad continuum of counseling services are available for students enrolled at Homewood Center. Students have the opportunity to receive individual and group counseling, learn and practice mindfulness and other self care strategies.
Staff consider the variety of factors that impact a student’s functioning such as age, cultural background, social emotional skills, academic outcomes, and access to resources. These services are provided by full-time Homewood staff members, as well as community mental health providers hired contractually through the Howard County Public School System.
