Hello Homewood! This is your librarian, Ms. Reis here and I can't wait to "see" you in the Media Center.

The library is open (virtually) and ready to provide a contactless pick up of books, assistance with assignments, and fun brain breaks like pet parades, poetry and trivia events.  ANYTHING you can think of...I  am here for you!  Don't forget you can actually see me screen-to-screen on Google Meets every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. and Friday from pds. 1-4 at Google Code:  hwc-areis-pd#

-To make requests easier to manage, there is a ONE-CLICK FORM called "I need a librarian/media specialist"  for you to use to get to me quickly.  The form will provide me with your full name and the email address you want me to use to contact you.  My goal is to get back to you as soon as possible. 

I can't wait for you to look through Homewood's public access catalog of books-- PAC to request books, and even use the same form to make suggestions for my next purchases.  It is your library, so I want to get you books you need and will enjoy.  Let me know what I need to purchase to make your days at home a little more connected to your library.

-When you request books or materials that you see listed in our Public Access Catalog (PAC), I will put them outside on the following Wednesday for you to pick up.  The FIRST PickUp Wednesday will be October 7th. The HCPSS procedure for contactless pick up is as follows:

Contactless Book Pick Up Procedures:

Students will place requests for materials using this form , called I NEED A LIBRARIAN/MEDIA SPECIALIST .

Students will receive an email message to their preferred email address when their holds are ready for pick up on WEDNESDAYS.

Books will be placed on the cart outside the front entrance for student pick up. They will be wrapped in brown paper sleeves with the name of the recipient identified on the spine.

All returned books will sit in quarantine for seven days before circulating back out to households.  

Books can be returned ANY DAY to a cart provided outside.  PICKUPS will only be outside on WEDNESDAYS.
