Route 410 is Now Available!

Wed, 11/13/2024 - 12:36pm

Route 410 is now up and running. This new route provides hourly weekday service from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM between The Mall in Columbia and Homewood Center/Application and Research Lab (ARL)!

Thanks to a continued partnership between HCPSS, Howard County Government, and Regional Transportation Agency (RTA), all HCPSS middle and high school students have access to free RTA bus passes through summer 2025. Students have full access to the RTA system and are not limited to transportation to and from schools or to school-related activities. This program will be available for students with a valid school issued email address. The pass will be valid through the end of the summer of the current school year. Students will reapply each school year to access a new pass.

For students with smartphone: The student must download the Transit App and follow instructions on setting up an account. They will have access to a digital pass that is stored on their smartphone in the app. For students without a smartphone: The student must show their current student ID to obtain a physical student pass at their respective school office. As part of the program, the student agrees to follow the RTA Ridership Policies. RTA’s How to Ride page can be found at at the following link: https://www.transitrta.com/how-to-ride/
