A HUGE Homewood Shoutout to Ms. Suzi Young who is now the 2020 HCPSS Washington Post Teacher of The Year!!! Suzi's creativity and tireless efforts have helped to make Homewood the very special place that it is!! Suzi created our Recycled Treasure Sale and goes above and beyond for all of our staff and students. You rock it, Ms. Young...Congrats!!!

HCPSS Grab and Go Meals Howard County Government CARE Center's CARE Line for one-stop support for all other needs, focused on information and referral service for resources for children and families in Howard County.  Call 410-313-CARE (410-313-2273), email children@howardcountymd.gov, or go to the website Food/Housing/Energy support: Howard County Community Action Council for the Howard County Food Bank, housing, and energy bill support FREE Roving Radish meal kits are available for families in need. If the family qualifies they will receive FOUR meals, each serving a family of four. This is a weekly program and families should call the CARE Line at 410-313-2273 (CARE) if they are in need and would like to participate. Health Insurance for uninsured Marylanders Maryland Health Connection opened a new Special Enrollment Period (through April 15) to uninsured Marylanders who need health coverage during the State of Emergency for Coronavirus (COVID-19). MISSION19 is set up to immediately respond to families in need of food, Rx, toiletries and household cleaning supplies.  Columbia Community Care (Links to an external site.) offers additional food and household item distribution during the same hours as the HCPSS Free Meal Service at Howard High School, Lake Elkhorn Middle School, Wilde Lake Middle School, Swansfield Elementary School and Oakland Mills Middle School Grassroots Resource list for COVID-19 Internet Essentials - $10 WiFi SNAP Benefits.pdf SNAP Flyer.pdf Local Food Banks
